image No, Microsoft. Not only is this an invasion of privacy but this has got to be illegal. Can’t be content with Google whacking the hell out of your browser, you now have to attempt to take down Firefox, too.

Beware users. A ‘critical’ windows update will install a Firefox plugin that cannot be removed. This plugin isn’t harmless – it opens a security hole which allows hackers to take over someone’s computers.

Not only that, you can’t remove the plugin – it’s greyed out on all versions of Windows, except 7.

The plugin is named ‘Windows Presentation’.

Firefox has already addressed this problem, see below:
