The Atlantis Shuttle, ready for launch tomorrow.

The Atlantis Shuttle, ready for launch tomorrow.

NASA’s Atlantis Spacecraft has awarded 100 followers to visit the launch, which will be tweeted, in a move to spur interest in deep space exploration.

NASA has given away 100 tickets to come see the Atlantis’ launch to Twitter followers, as part of a move to generate social media interest in deep space. Following an amazing discovery of water on the moon which was supported by Google, their wish might just be coming true as they aim to become more tech-aligned. They will also be tweeting about the rocket launch as soon as it happens.

NASA previously were involved with Twitter in May, when @Astro_Mike sent messages to NASA to post to his Twitter.

The launch is scheduled for 2.28pm EST, 7:28pm GMT – and will subsequently be tweeted, while it takes astronauts for their 11-day mission. Good luck!
