They do mention speed heavily. Macs are irrelevant - this is about iPhones. iPhones are capable of playing games, there's a couple of thousand games available for the platform, more than any other smartphone. It also refers to the iPhone being 'like a cheerleader' and essentially calling it stupid.

IMO, advertising like this is cheap. As are the 'Get a Mac' adverts.

Also, they make mention of calling the iPhone a Princess and otherwise slandering it. It's a perfectly capable phone, I've never had speed issues. Droid are an inferior OS, they can't slander a phone that isn't.

I have to disagree with several points here. They never said the iPhone was slow (but it is), just showy. And that's not a lie either, the iPhone is Apple's hyper-advanced etch-a-sketch. It can do things, but really, Apple products are more built to be artistic and pretty. That's why you'll find very few high-end games for Mac systems.

The ad admits the DROID may not be as pretty as the iPhone, everything else it states are meant to create the illusion of implications that aren't really there. The problem is, Apple is just as guilty as Verizon for abusive advertising, even more so since they do it on a regular basis in Mac Vs. PC commercials. This is today's advertising game, but I feel like that point is downplayed in the article, which is far from objective.
