The long-awaited release of the iPhone to Orange has finally been announced – it’s the 10th of November. In a week, iPhone exclusivity will be eradicated. As predicted, Orange’s prices are remarkably lower than O2’s – about 25% off per month – though beware, that’s for an additional 6 months.Seems like long? Even so, their same-price 18 months contract that comes with the 8GB iPhone free has double the minutes of the equivalent O2 contract. Point cut short, Orange has the iPhone now. They’re not going to be the only ones, more British mobile providers will be supporting the iPhone, and the delicious price war in the way that everyone wins but them, is about to begin.
For those of you who do not know, the iPhone has long been exclusive to O2 in the UK. This meant that you either got an O2 contract, or you didn’t get an iPhone. Now that the iPhone has come to Orange, we can expect to see many great things. Many, great, things.
