Pystar have been selling computers with Mac OS X for a while.

Judges ruled against Pystar, denying all its motions for summary judgement. Everything has been ruled in Apple’s favour, and it’d seem time has run out for this small business.

Trust me, you’d have to be out of your mind to even think about starting a business that sells computers with illegal copies of Mac OS X. You’d have to be more out of your mind to purchase one, but that’s besides the point. Counterfeit Mac vendor Pystar is under heavy fire in a lawsuit against Apple. Yesterday, it’s been declared that there’s little chance of Pystar redeeming itself – the corporate giant Apple has struck, and it won’t give up without a good fight – in fact, it won’t give up without winning.

Apple is a force to be reckoned with – and both companies filed for summary judgements, the case went in Apple’s favour (surprisingly?) and there’s little else to turn for the small company.

Pystar has long been seen as a shady ‘hackintosh’ company, in March 2008 starting off in someones flat, before rapidly expanding, into a proper office just a month later. However, Apple has been going for over 25 years and is the second largest computer company after Microsoft.

We’ll just have to wait and see if Pystar can get out of this one.
