For once, it’s not someone suing Apple – instead, this way round, mobile-maker HTC is being sued by the technology corporate giant over 20 patent infringements – even though Mr. Jobs feels that “competition is healthy” although “competitors should create their own original technology, not steal ours”.

Anyway, like said, the lawsuit is going ahead for 20 patent infringements, these vary from patents in mobile processing technology right down to UI infringement. It could be a stab at the Android operating system, but this seems highly unlikely – although HTC is the largest Android phone developer.

However, it is interesting to note that the case was filed with a local court as well as with the U.S. International Trade Commission – which don’t offer money for damages, but instead they can place a ban on imports of the product, which could seriously damage things for Google as HTC is based in Asia.
