Alright so, you’re probably thinking about what could go on. You’re probably wondering, in fact, what the hell I’m on about, anyway. But within the last year some of the most amazing and important technological advancements, as well as rumors, have been made.
Apple Tablet
There’s a heavy possibility of an Apple-produced tablet to appear within the next year, and rumors are flying that this date could be in the Apple press conference in January – unfortunately, they aren’t attending the Macworld Expo this year, however. It’s fairly likely, considering their recent patent on digital ink recognition, or Sports Illustrated’s obviously-Apple touchscreen implementation. So, it’d seem pretty obvious. Oh, what’s more, they’ve also booked in a special press conference for 22nd January – possible tablet launch.
Microsoft Surface – Consumer Launch
It’s just a probability, but following recent price drops by nearly $100 in the past year for businesses, it could seem that the Microsoft Surface technology would be moving into a possible launch to the public market. For just $7,000 (£5,800 predic.) you can purchase yourself a touchscreen computer like no other. The future is here, and it isn’t an iPhone. It’s a big-ass table.
Google Tablet?
Tablet this, tablet that – Google, once again directly taking a potshot at Apple, are planning a tablet. Not a lot is known about it, but they’re going to be working with HTC on this one. And there’s a chance it’s getting a 2010 release.
iPhone 4th Generation
It’s inevitable that the 4th generation of the iPhone will be released this summer. But there’s some speculation as to what kind of features such a device will be packing. In fact, Mashable have reports of it having a front-facing camera as well as other rumours of an apparent 5 megapixel camera with noise reduction, similar to that of Nokia’s phones. We’ll just have to wait and see.
At the moment these are probably going to be the 4th most influential releases of 2010. Expect to see huge changes in the way the industry cooperates and expect to see more and more strange yet useful tech being invented.
