imageGoing with the flow of the fact that pretty much every application available to the Linux Ubuntu operating systems are Open Source – this means the code is free to use and alter under the GNU – Skype seems to be joining the party, or so it seems – at least it means that their UI is becoming free to edit and improve – but Skype still grabs a tight hold over the call protocol.

Cutest Koala in the whole WORLD

It’s a very important 2 months for Operating Systems – Snow Leopard’s release just 2 months ago, following with Windows 7’s release a week ago, and Ubuntu 9.10’s release, today – following Kubuntu’s release shortly afterwards.

This release doesn’t just do everything it says on the tin – naturally, it promises the things it strives to work towards – easier to use, easier to navigate, more compatible, faster, and in general, as Kubuntu states, it’s truly now ‘Linux for human beings’.

Ubuntu 9.10, the latest release of the increasingly popular open-source operating system, is coming to our doorsteps soon. It promises a smooth, flicker-free startup, with a nice graphical boot, that they promise will be beautiful. It means that Linux is finally ditching the arguably hideous dirt-brown color scheme.
