robert-pattinson-attends-the-premiere-of-inglourious-basterds-in-cannes

Robert Pattinson is quite the spotlight for the geek world, recently.

Robert Pattinson, interestingly enough, has been quite the center of attention for the geeky world at the moment, rather than just the Twilight fandom – considering he just accidentally insulted Microsoft’s efforts to promote search engine Bing. At the red-carpet premiere of his new film, Twilight: New Moon (which, might I add, is one of the most-hyped films I’ve heard of recently – let’s hope it’s good), he went into the ‘Bing Box’ for a 2-minute interview with Ryan Seacrest.

Annoying publicist aside, during Ryan’s attempt to crack in on the gossip of a potential relationship between the two twilight stars, Robert Pattinson was handed a bag with ‘bing’ on it. The first thing he replies is, “What’s Bing?” in an incredibly dumbfounded manner. After being told, he awkwardly replies “Thanks,” and is tugged away by his publicist.

It’d seem Microsoft’s vast spending on Bing haven’t been enough – I’ve seen adverts on the television and on various other forms of media, on-line and in magazines – but it’d seem it’s still not enough to replace many people’s mentalities that Google is the only search engine.

The video is below.
