Remember when Google introduced Street View? Way back when? The only logical choice for map competitors (for example, Microsoft’s Bing’s Map feature) would be to emulate street view, somehow. Instead of choosing to adopt the same idea that Google had (with ‘Bubbles’ of 360º images), Microsoft have created their own take on the whole thing with ‘Street Slide’, which not only contains a panoramic bubble, but when zoomed out displays an entire view of the street with navigational and informational aides – such as street signs, a zoomed-out map, shop names and more.
