A man who claims he was tricked into downloading pornography featuring minors. He is now facing a jail sentence of 20 years.

Pornography featuring children is a crime that’s always taken harshly – the law falls very strong on pedophiles and downloaders of child pornography. But, as Matthew White, 22, of Sacramento is discovering – even a faint presence of the material can cause huge problems. He claims “I used Limewire to download ‘College Girls Gone Wild’ and discovered inappropriate images of children were also downloaded on my computer”.

“It didn’t appeal to me,” he stated. “I was looking for women my age, so I just wanted to download ‘College Girls Gone Wild’ and accidentally downloaded underage pornography.”

A year after the incident, his home was raided by FBI agents, who were permitted to examine the computer, and they didn’t find anything. Investigators were later able to recover data off his hard drive (shoulda used secure empty) left after he deleted it.

“I asked them, ‘Where did you get that? I don’t remember that.’ I asked them, ‘Could I access that if I wanted to?’” and they said “no”.

The law has no remorse for 22-year-old Matthew White, who is trying to plead guilty for a 3.5 year sentence.
