Nintendo’s President, Iwata Satoru, in an interview, has cited plans for the Nintendo DS2. Features are HD output and Motion sensing.
While Nintendo is developing the machine, Iwata did not set a release date. Instead, he mentioned DS sales in North America reached an all time high in 2009.
The machine, likely dubbed DS2, will boast a HD screen, be able to respond to motion similar to that of the Wii or an Accelerometer. Iwata says that the device, while having WiFi, will ‘not make use of 3G technologies’. This is a shame for DS users, as it restricts the absolute usefulness of the gaming device, but we hope to see more from it soon.
Eh, if it has Pokémon, I’ll play it.
