Google Wave's Logo Google Wave. You’ve probably heard of it. It’s a new idea from Google that, following its monopoly strategy, should outclass most other things similar to it. It’s like a cross between Yahoo Pipes, Twitter and E-mail. There’s a few reasons there’s so much hype about it, aside from the fact that it’s a Google product.

Windows 7 Logo Windows Vista… sounds fashionable to you? Perhaps not. But why? Windows Vista recieved incredibly strong criticism from the press, most notably about its power-hungry resources – which together took up nearly an entire gigabyte of RAM. However, I feel that Microsoft have, for once, learned from their mistakes and are ready to produce an OS that will flounce Vista’s sales – and maybe even take a bite out of Apple.

It’s Gettin’ Hot In Here – Google v Bing?

It’s something that’s perfectly possible – in fact, even likely to imagehappen, in the next few years or even months. Microsoft’s Bing search engine has dug its fangs right into Google’s share  of the search engine market – lowering it by around 2% – considerably large for the web titan.

My question is, how long will Bing last until its used up and useless? Only time can tell, really. Microsoft have been pumping thousands of pounds into their Bing search engine in an attempt to spread to the web in another fashionable media other than their slowly-dwindling messenger protocol, Windows Live Messenger.

To be fair, this theme didn’t live long. But it’s not just that, It’s all the thoughts and efforts, and a much more active theme will suit so much better. So I’ll be redesigning the whole site. That’s just the first of so many changes we want to make, so read them all below.

Changes?

  • New Theme – Self explanatory. There’s a lick of paint coming soon.
  • New staff – welcome to Michael Thorpe. More below.
  • New functions and easier navigation – We’ll make it easier to get to the stuff you want to know. Loads of new plugins and widgets that deliver what YOU want will be coming.
  • Afilliation – we’ll be linking up with HBgames.org — a massive forum with 37,000 members! Sounds good to me, haha.

If you’ve got anything YOU want to see happen to YOUR site — yes, this is a community — speak up! It’ll affect you in a good way, in the long run.

LiveLogoPNG_by_luke-paiva EDIT: Okay, both services appear to be back up. A total of 2 hours of downtime.

Facebook and Live Messenger today, around 30 minutes ago, went down. People are unable to leave comments on each others wall on Facebook, nor are they able to send friends messages – however, signing in and changing Name and Status works fine, as is updating your own wall on Facebook.

Update? It’s fixed, from what I can see.

Yes, it’s time again for some more anti-piracy propaganda. This time, the most interesting yet, a new video from the SIIA (Formerly SPA) — Don’t Copy That 2. Produced as a sequel to the 1990’s “Don’t Copy That Floppy” (during the period in which floppy disk drives were still used, before being disbanded).

It’s an awful day in history. A painful reminder. A deep wound that will never heal. On the 11th of September, 2001, what could perhaps be described as the biggest terrorist attack of all time took place.

I lived in America at the time, albeit I was very young – I must have only been around 8 years old. My dad worked in NYC, and sometime in August, his business moved him to another office – his previous office just two and a half blocks from the WTC.

In case you do not know, this is the equivalent of the iTunes App store, or Mozilla Firefox’s Add-on Library. New Extras will not be included, however the old Extras will continue to work until they expire.
